Maharashtra Legislators urged to raise Rs.2000 crore ‘Shreesurya–Wasankar- Satvik’ Scams

Nagpur News: After EOW has arrested directors of ‘Shreesurya Group’ under charges of cheating of 10 thousand investors from farm crisis hit Vidarbha and Marathwada lured with towering return dumped now recently another two wealth management companies one floated by Dr. Prashant Wasankar and another floated by Amol Dhake titled Satvik Financial Services Ltd. have been reported to be involved in same illegal acts and facing same fate, they have trapped more than 10,000 middle class and old aged pensioners by promising very high returns of schemes which were never allowed by RBI or SEBI nor these companies got any legal permission to do but they are till looting innocent investors as administration is protecting them hence Maharashtra legislators are being humbly requested take up this serious issue on the floor of house as winter session in progress in nagpur itself, Kishore Tiwari of Vidarbha Janandolan Samiti (VJAS) informed in press release today.

Nagpur has been rocking with such stories of Mega Investment Scam and it is alleged that these so called wealth management companies has sussefully eroded eroded the hard earn money of more than five thousands innocent people offering high dreams of rich future within short span of time as per documents attached with this complaint that Wasankar who is charging huge amount membership amounting more than Rs. One lakh per annum collected more than Rs. 2000 crore giving post dated cheques offering around 30% interest on deposit nut now forget the interest investors are finding difficult to get back their own money more over, this firms run Dr. Prashant Wasankar company and Amol Dhake titled Satvik Financial Services Ltd are not registered with any regulator under finance ministry or Reserve Bank of India or Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) for collecting such deposits which is illegal as per GOI acts and Mah.state’s money leading act. But nobody has questioned the company as on today hence Maharashtra lawmakers are to ask Govt. to initiate the action under Maharashtra protection of investors deposit act 1999 (MPID) against Wasankar Group promoters in order to save these investors ,Kishore Tiwari demanded.

“The grid of investors or depositors to higher return is leading to innocent victimization in which most victims are middle class pensioners hence we are urging CM to have urgent intervention to get back basic capital of these dying old age pensioners as we have received lot complaints that Dr. Prashant Wasankar has denied to pay back capital sighting the reasons of financial crisis hence state should give him financial bailout package as all illegal activities of Wasankar and amol dhake are being promoted and protected by Babus, police and other hostile pillars of democracy” Tiwari added.

In letter open letter to all MLA/MLC it is requested that that Dr.Prashant Wasankar and Amol Dhake have been working in Nagpur as sub-broker of BSE-NSE capital market since last two decades ,have earned the confidence of investors to larger extend and has been writing in local newspapers on wealth creation solutions and arranged investors meet in all metros of India and abroad ,is having active operation in Australia and Singapore but his real activities of running fishy and illegal deposits schemes offering interest rates more than 1.5% has been reported in Feb,2013 and when shreesurya scan was reported , cracks to the trust of wasankar developed and investors panic of getting capital money back has exposed the bankruptcy of wasankar group and investors realized they have been dumped and cheated by fraudulent misleading investment advices given by Dr.Prashant Wasankar ,has approached VJAS to get back their hard earn life time earning hence CM Maharashtra has been urged to intervene in the matter as local politicians are covering misdeed of Wasankar ,Tiwari added.

VJAS has attached promissory notes and cheques given Dr. Prashant Wasankar and Interest chart signed by himself offering the schemes that double the money with 30 months and offering a membership collecting Rs lakhs of rupees then members where asked to give fix deposits and but now investors are demanding the return of the capital but Dr.Prashant Wasankar has failed to return the money and he has been asking the investors to wait sighting recession in share market and helpless investors are crying before the office of Wasankar Group and in the plea to CM of maharashtra VJAS has drawn the attention of administration that all deposits collected by the Wasankar company are illegal and has no legitimate status where as he has been fully protected by local Police Authorities, SEBI, RBI, Govt. of Maharashtra etc. and activities of Wasankar Wealth Management Group and Satvik Financial Services Ltd. is nothing but money laundering activities and it has international network too, Tiwari added.

Recently Wasankar Group and Satvik Financial Services Ltd. illegal activities and bankruptcy was reported in electronic and print media but administration and police have turned blind eye but now investors are gathering before the of Wasankar Group and Satvik Financial Services Ltd. offices and crying for money but they are finding helpless as administration has turned blind eye to this scam earlier too , last month Sameer Joshi has dumped innocent investors around Rs.240 crore earlier that one Pramod Agarwal has dumped thousands of investors to tune of Rs 100 crore on the name of Mahadev Land Developers and Ullas Khaire had dumped around 1 lakh people of Rs 1,100 crore and now this Wasankar Group and Satvik Financial Services Ltd.likely repeat the same story hence we are urging Mah. CM to initiate action under Maharashtra protection of investors deposit act 1999 (MPID) against Wasankar Group and Satvik Financial Services Ltd. Promoters so that innocent investors hard earn money is protected ,Kishore Tiwari added.

Drought tourism is in full swing : After Pawar And Chavan, Guv Plans Tour

Mumbai: First it was NCP president and Union agriculture minister Sharad Pawar who went on a whistle-stop tour of drought-affected Marathwada. He was followed by chief minister Prithviraj Chavan, who is from the Congress. Now governor K Sankaranarayanan is also planning to interact with people in drought-hit parts of the state in the first week of March.

Amid all the coming and going, the question people are asking is whether these tours, particularly the ones undertaken by Pawar and Chavan, will help the state tackle the worst-ever drought in recent memory or will the visits turn out to be nothing more than a customary annual exercise undertaken because politicians must be seen taking stock of the situation.

Senior bureaucrats from Marathwada felt there was a lack of coordination at all levels and absence of seriousness about the situation among politicians, particularly from the ruling Congress-NCP.

A high-ranking bureaucrat strongly criticized Pawar’s recent comment that the Centre was yet to receive a statement from the state government on the situation.

“We feel that as Pawar has been in state politics for over four decades, instead of making a statement critical of a government in which his own party is a constituent, he should have asked either Chavan or his own nephew Ajit Pawar, who was sitting next to him in many meetings, to submit a memorandum,” a bureaucrat said.

A former chief secretary felt that there was too much of politics in the management of the drought. “Parts of Marathwada have seen severe droughts for the past several years, but it appears that no strong measures have been taken to tackle the situation,” he said. “Both Pawar and chief minister Chavan must fix responsibility on their cabinet members as well as elected representatives.”

Leader of opposition Eknath Khadse also came down heavily on Chavan and Pawar, saying that instead of undertaking tours of drought-affected areas, they must ensure that orders passed by the state government for tackling the situation must be implemented in letter and spirit. Khadse said so far the state had only stayed recovery of power bills and granted fee exemption to school students.

“The stay is on current bills, but the new policy is silent on outstanding bills,” Khadse said. “If Chavan is at all serious, he must immediately grant a stay on recovery of all bills.”

On the fee exemption, Khadse said the government had not done adequate homework before making the announcement.

“Under the Right to Education Act, school students have already been exempted from payment of fees,” he said. “If some schools are charging fees, it’s between Rs 25 and Rs 50. If at all they are keen on granting exemption, students of professional colleges, such as medical and engineering colleges, should be exempted.”

He said it was “shocking” that even workers under the employment guarantee scheme were not paid wages for periods ranging from seven days to a month. “All these issues have been specifically brought to the notice of the CM, but no corrective measures have been taken,” Khadse said.

Times View: Knee-jerk reaction won’t help O ur leaders seem to wake up to the reality of drought every year between December and June and then forget the issue when the rains come. No amount of VIP tours of districts, which can also result in disruption of routine work, will help the state’s drought-prone areas unless there is some serious planning on how to tackle the problem. Dams are nowadays more in the news for cost escalations and controversies. Politicians and bureaucrats need to look at long-term solutions instead of waking up only when the problem is there every year.

NCP-Cong war of words over drought donations
Mumbai: The Congress and its ally NCP are at loggerheads again, this time over personal drought donations.

Home minister R R Patil, who is from the NCP, on Tuesday launched a veiled attack on chief minister Prithviraj Chavan, who is from the Congress, for criticizing his move to donate a month’s salary to the CM’s relief fund.

“I have not heard or read what Chavan has said, but if the CM has referred to my contribution for raising drought relief funds as ‘cheap publicity’, then does Chavan mean even gazetted officers of the state government and teachers who have contributed to drought relief are doing it for the publicity,” Patil said while speaking to media persons.

Last week, during the weekly state cabinet meeting, Patil suggested that ruling DF ministers, MLAs and MLCs should forgo a month’s salary for tackling the water crisis in the state. Chavan responded by saying the suggestion would be considered later, if required. On Friday, Patil donated a month’s salary to the CM’s relief fund. Even stategazetted officers agreed to give two days’ salary.

Later, Chavan reportedly said to some journalists that the drought should not be politicized for “cheap publicity”.

The state has spent over Rs 800 crore on drought relief.

Scam in Making: ‘Worst drought in 50 yrs’ looms, CM talks tough

Pune: As the state gears up to face one of its worst droughts in recent history, chief minister Prithviraj Chavan on Saturday announced “unprecedented and stringent” steps to curb wastage of drinking water and its usage for purposes other than drinking.

“Major parts of the state, including the Pune region, Marathwada and parts of Vidarbha, have been facing a major water crisis, and the situation is likely to worsen. This is the first time there is not enough water even for even drinking. We have to take unprecedented and stringent decisions which no government has taken earlier. And even then, I am not sure it will be enough. The situation is serious and we have to look for answers,” the chief minister said, speaking near Pune.

Echoing Chavan, Union agriculture minister Sharad Pawar said, “I have not seen such a serious water crisis in the last 50 years. We have seen droughts in the past too, but this is the first time that even drinking water is not available.” The NCP boss stated that although by next week, the Centre would approve Rs 770 crore for the state, the situation was bad and people should curb excess use of water.

State seeks 2,200cr to refill reservoirs
Pune: Chief minister Prithviraj Chavan, speaking at a combined annual general body meeting of the Maharashtra State Co-operative Sugar Factories Federation Limited and the Vasantdada Sugar Institute at Manjari near Pune, warned of a major water crisis ahead for the state. Chavan said the state was ready with a mechanism to supply water to drought-affected areas, but the system itself would not be of help as there was no water to provide.

“The water level in the Ujani dam is zero. Imagine what the situation will be if we are not able to provide drinking water to drought-affected areas. The state has sought Rs 2,200 crore from the central government to refill water reservoirs,” he said, adding that if the additional funds fail to come from the Centre, the state would have to divert funds meant for other works.

Meanwhile, CM Prithviraj Chavan said the state was planning to ban flood irrigation system and encourage drip irrigation. “Excess water is used for crops, especially sugarcane, through the flood irrigation system. We can save water by using drip irrigation. We need to ban flood irrigation and encourage drip irrigation,” he said, adding that the state plans to focus on grants only for drip irrigation. “

महाराष्ट्र में सिंचाई विभाग का 25 हजार करोड़ का घोटाला

प्रमुख संवाददाता॥ मुंबई - बीजेपी ने महाराष्ट्र के सिंचाई विभाग में पिछले 10 साल के दौरान 25 हजार करोड़ का घोटाला होने का आरोप लगाया है। बीजेपी नेता व विधानपरिषद के नेता विपक्ष विनोद तावडे ने मुख्यमंत्री पृथ्वीराज चव्हाण से आग्रह किया कि वे सिंचाई पर श्वेतपत्र जारी करने का अपना वादा पूरा करें और इस मामले में एनसीपी नेताओं के दबाव में नहीं आए।

तावडे ने विदर्भ इलाके की सिंचाई परियोजनाओं को सरकार की वडनेरे समिति की रिपोर्ट दाखिले के तौर पर पत्रकारों के सामने पेश की। समिति के अनुसार, जीगांव सिंचाई परियोजना का 396 करोड़ का टेंडर निकला था, जबकि ठेकेदार को 4044 करोड़ रुपये का भुगतान किया गया। इसी तरह गोसी-खुर्द का 350 करोड़ के टेंडर पर 7700 करोड़, नानी लघु तालाब के 34 करोड़ के टेंडर पर 1567 करोड़ और भिवापुर तालाब के 17 करोड़ के टेंडर पर 1038 करोड़ रुपये का भुगतान सरकार की ओर से किया गया।

उन्होंने दावा किया कि विदर्भ की ही तरह मराठवाडा, कोंकण और पश्चिम महाराष्ट्र की सिंचाई परियोजनाओं की रकम बिना नए टेंडर मंगाए कई गुना बढ़ाकर अदा की गई है। उन्होंने कहा कि करीब 66 हजार करोड़ रुपये खर्च करने के बाद महाराष्ट्र में सिंचाई बमुश्किल 0.1 प्रतिशत की ही बढ़त हो पाई है। उन्होंने सरकारी स्तर पर दाद न दिए जाने पर मुंबई उच्च न्यायालय का दरवाजा खटखटाने की धमकी दी है।
